Gamecube.jpg

my prized possesion. my first. my baby. the OG.
this Gamecube is my very first console and my first exposure to the concept of video games as a whole
my earliest memory, though faint, involves this console, and I don't think i'd ever be the same if I haven't decided I wanted to try it out.
the game I played in said memory was Super Smash Bros Melee. I know, my life was already over and I had barely started Kindergarten.
Dreamcast.jpg

I bought this Dreamcast on my birthday this year (written November 2024), sadly it didn't come with a memory card. and there were hardly any games in the shop I got it from. and it was a bit dirty on the inside.
my most expensive investment so far, I had to give so much extra money just so I wouldn't have a pretty looking paperweight in my shelf lol
the Dreamcast was a console I was so facsinated with as a kid since the games were so weird and obscure, and was responsible for shattering the delusion that Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 are Gamecube original games. it feels so odd yet satisfying finally having one and getting to play all the Sega games I was so obsessed with.
N64.jpg

I don't have much to say about the N64 as a console that hasn't been extremely oversaid by now. it has Ocarina of Time and Mario 64 on it, so the internet will be forever irritating about the legacy.
I surprisingly don't have many personal memories of this console either, it really is a console that suddenly spawned into my life some time ago. I remember first digging it up ad playing Smash 64 on a small pink CRT that has mysteriously disappeared from my life, but it's the only memory I have that isn't plugging it up randomly because I was bored to tears.
XBOX '01.jpg

I DIDN'T REALIZE THE PICTURE WAS SIDEWAYS UNTIL I LOOKED AT IT AGAIN i'll fix it I promise :C
anyways, this is probably my favorite Xbox if I were to rank solely on vibes. the heaviest non furniture object I own, the menus are so mysterious and futuristic, the controller I have is clicky and weirdly light, and it can play Jet Set Radio! the full package!
i'm not very well versed in Microsoft lore since I was a snotty kid who played sonic and nintendo games all day and couldn't try anything new or else i'd get unreasonably anxious, and plus wasn't quite interested in the Xbox line (still not! ^-^)
despite all that, finally playing Halo 2 on my own Xbox and not a friend's felt so amazing, like I could actually immerse myself without worrying about anyone else in the room~
I HATE cleaning it's shell!! who thought those ridges were ok??
PSP.jpg

we're in dangerous territory now, mobile games are quite scary.
I forget where I found this PSP, I might have been poking around in our garage and it was in some sort of box.
the PSP is weird. it's just a PS1 but tiny, which is really cool if you like that sort of thing. you can softmod it SUPER easy so you can play almost any retro game and run homebrew anytime you want, it looks slick and aged perfectly with the times, and yet it got so overshadowed by the Vita. the parts of the web i'm on though, it really doesn't matter since it has way too many mods to keep track of
a friend of mine uses his as an mp3 player, which is a feature i'd never really think to use.
DS Lite Midnight Blue.jpg

a DS from my childhood. the hinge chipped and messed up one of the speakers, but it plays like that never even happened.
how it got like that is beyond me, but I still like playing with it since original DS games hit harder on the lite than on 3ds.
3DS.jpg

did you know it's really easy to mod your 3ds? it'll take like 10 minutes frfr
the 3ds is still super underrated despite all the personality and charm it has. any mainline series probably has a 3ds game that's top 5 in quality and did really well for a handheld that had to carry a whole generation and still survived through a well portion of the switch's life.
still, I can't come up with much to say about it. this ds hasn't left my side through my whole traditional school years and is still there now, and i've played way too many games on it, and if you still have your 3ds you should do the same :>
DSI.png

another OG! this is my first DS, and I took surprisingly good care of it. as good as an elementary schooler can possibly take care of a DS.
there's something up with the top screen that I need to repair soon...
GBA.jpg

my very first handheld ever! pretty cool considering the tie in mechanics the gamecube and GBA had.
the GBA is very pretty and crispy graphics wise, some of the best and iconic pixel art I can think of come from this era.
like the DS, a lot of top 5s are on the GBA too, it's too bad Mario Kart got the worst retro map treatment in 8...
Nintendo Switch.jpg

the most modern console I have now, and even then it's almost a decade old.
don't have much to say about the switch that you can't see on youtube, but this is very special to me since I got it a little after smash ultimate came out.
I may play melee a lot more now and I have more special memories with it but Ult has just as precious memories. I bonded with so many people because of it ♥
30th anniversary GW.jpg

not much to say about these either. cool little novelty! I kinda wish mario 3 was on the red one instead of lost levels
iPod Gen 4.jpg

here's a couple of iPods :O
even today they're pretty reliable if you just want a music player, or something cute to carry around if you want to complete some kind of late 2000s/early 2010s look. I say the mini is a lot more "y2k"-like though
iPod Mini.jpg
woah holy shit a phone case that plays bootlegs!.jpg

an interesting case (LOL) of a Famiclone.
it's a phone case that's got the SoRetro flu! the buttons are mushy and awkward to play with, the sound quality is crusty, and the screen is just so slightly too bright. worst part is it doesn't even fit the phone model I have! :C I just have it for the novelty, but it can be a weird conversation starter too
a flip phone.jpg

yeah, nothing special. found it at a garage sale without the charger, so I should get one soon
Tama Meets.jpg

also called the Tamagotchi ON in the west!
this is hands down the best tamagotchi out there, no competition.
you can do pretty much anything you want with it, take your pet places, breed with others, get a pet pet,it has bluetooth connectivity, so any kind of custom items, backgrounds or location you have can be imported easily
